I like where the story is going, although you can tell Bree is female, Auras' gender is a bit hard to tell, almost like androgyny. Adding a bit more "cutesy" features would help, little details can help a lot, such as adding a few scales on Bree to make her more "reptilian" or making the feathers on Aura's head look more feathery/fluffy because they look almost like quills (unless that was your intention) and the background could use a bit rocks here & there & not perfectly flat, maybe a shrub too. On the 2nd panel you can emphasize the cuteness of the doll Aura has for a sort of comedic effect.
